Has anyone elses lottie turned into a boggy mess with the recent downpourings? I do actually have some trenches down the sides of the lottie but still the main body squelches when you dig or walk on it. Some parts of it are under water. It had only just dried out from the winter. You wouldn't believe it was June in a week or so.

Awful isn't it? But I suppose at least it mitigates the need to water (we have a drough order in the offing)...

A big problem we've had has been the wind - it has completely trashed the rhubarb which has only been down a year so we wanted to leave a lot of stalks on it...

I don't have allotments, but raised beds. And I can only safely reach one because it's close to the sleepers propping up the terrace. The walkway between the first and second bed is squelchy. The walkway on the other side of the second bed, where the third bed will be, is like soup. Slippery soup.

It stopped raining yesterday evening and I thought 'hurrah!'. Instead it turned really, really cold. Bah!

Thursday is supposed to warm but overcast. Sunday looks to be the best day - sunshine and double figures everywhere. Now if we can just get two weeks of sundays to dry everything out...

I'm finding the rain quite good, although a little more sunshine would also be nice.

I suppose it depends on where you live. I'm in Leicester and we really didn't need any more rain, at all for a least another month or two.

I inherited some nice paved paths so haven't had to deal with squelchy bits although the wind has covered the whole thing with catkins from the nearest tree.
